About Me
I'm Jussi Kalliokoski, a father of the most beautiful girl and husband of the most amazing woman. I first got in touch with programming more than half my age ago, and have been hooked ever since. I'm a JS-fanboi, having done a lot of crazy stuff with it. If you want reasons to do JS, I can give you them. If you want reasons not to do JS, I can make the world around you crumble until you run away from JS, crying. I'm actively trying to make JS and the web a better habitat for audio as the Team Lead of Official.fm Labs. I like C and ooc, too, but prefer to avoid C++. I'm also a long time Linux user, spending most of my time on the computer in Vim.
When I'm not working, I'm usually spending time with the family or making music. I like almost all kinds of music, as long as it has some spark of excellence in it. I also do a lot of different styles of music. As myself, I make Orchestral Soundtrack, Trance and a lot of odd electric music. I also am a singer in a psychedelic rock band called Ara Nubanti. I'm very interested in all aspects of music making, be it DSP or guitar amp construction.
I'm also keeping a blog here. I mostly blog about things that interest me and things I want to remember, sort of a public diary. I also hope it enhances my communication skills, so maybe some day I can write a book about JS or something like that. Feel free to read, you might find it interesting if you think we're interested in similar subjects. If you want to know more about how the blog works behind the curtain, check out the repo, it's all open source.
